Second $1 Million Powerball® Winner Sold This Week in Connecticut

Players still have a chance at a massive $720 million estimated jackpot during Friday’s Mega Millions® drawing.

Rocky Hill, CT / July 20, 2023 - CT Lottery announces that a second $1 million Powerball winning ticket was sold this week in Connecticut. Wednesday’s lucky $1 million winner was sold at Wheels #196 at 365 Old Gate Lane in Milford. This win follows another $1 million Powerball prize won in Connecticut on Monday at Fort Hill Citgo at 182 Fort Hill Road in Groton.

Last night's Powerball jackpot was $1.08 billion. The jackpot winning ticket was sold in California, but a total of 60,529 winning tickets were sold in Connecticut, including two $50,000 winners along with the $1 million winner. The overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.

The winning Powerball numbers for the July 19, 2023, drawing were, 7 - 10 - 11 - 13 - 24. The Powerball number was 24, and the Power Play® multiplier was 2. Players for the July 19 drawing have 180 calendar days, or until January 15, 2024, to claim their winning tickets.

The winning Powerball numbers for the July 17, 2023, drawing were, 5 - 8 - 9 - 17 - 41. The Powerball number was 21, and the Power Play® multiplier was 4. Players for the July 17 drawing have 180 calendar days, or until January 13, 2024, to claim their winning tickets.

Powerball costs $2 per wager. The Power Play feature costs an additional $1 per wager — it can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times. On drawing nights (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday), wagering closes at 10:00 PM and reopens at 11:15 PM.

Jackpot odds are 1 in 302,575,350.
